LAHORE (Dunya News) – Punjab Chief Minister Hamza Shahbaz has said the government cannot allow Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to hold a public rally at the CTI Ground in Sialkot due to reservations. of the Christian community.
Speaking to reporters outside the accountability tribunal, CM Punjab asked PTI to change venue and hold the public meeting at another suitable venue.
On the other hand, Ataullah Tarar, leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), said that the PTI would not be allowed to hold a rally at the church grounds. He asked the party to hold a meeting at Sialkot Stadium instead.
It should be mentioned that the police arrested PTI leader Usman Dar and other party workers for the preparation of a public rally.
A fight broke out between PTI workers and police at the venue of the public meeting of PTI leader Imran Khan.
Police entered the venue of the PTI public meeting, claiming that the district administration had not allowed the party to hold a public meeting at the CTI Ground in Sialkot.
Faced with resistance from the PTI workers, the police used tear gas and batons to try to disperse the PTI workers.
Meanwhile, Usman Dar said he supports the PTI chairman and his love for Imran Khan will not be affected even if he is sent to jail. He reiterated that the former prime minister will attend the rally no matter what.
