Arklow Christian Community Church donates to local causes ahead of Christmas

Arklow Christian Community Church supported a number of local causes at its Super Sunday events in November and December.

he Arklow Lifeboat was chosen as the recipient of donations in November. Pastor Solomon Aroboto presented the check to Councilor Tommy Annesley, Joy Crosbie and Majella Myler.

The Arklow Lifeboat assists people and vessels in difficulty at sea. Its volunteers often go out in the middle of the night to help those in danger.

In December, Arklow Christian Community Church made a donation to two local causes: the Friends of the Community Christmas Appeal and the Inbhear Mor Group.

Julie Gaffney, Hilary Sharpe, Caitriona Kinsella, Anne Carey, Marianne McGrath and Grace Glavin of Friends of the Community were delighted to accept a donation from the Church to help nearly 200 families this Christmas.

Mary Kirwan and Oisin Molloy received the check from the Inbhear Mor Band.

The Inbhear Mór Performance Ensemble is a performing arts unit specializing in brass, percussion, color keeping and dance.

Arklow Christian Community Church holds a monthly Super Sunday fundraising event during its Sunday service. Local causes and charitable groups are selected as recipients of these donations.

He has helped businesses like Men’s Sheds, Arklow Tidy Towns and Glenart College in the past.
