Karnataka Christian community donates 1 crore rupees for construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya
As the drive to ensure the participation of 130 crores of Indians in the construction of the much anticipated Ram Mandir in Ayodhya grows, the Christian community of Karnataka has also come forward to do its part.
At a recent event chaired by Deputy Chief Minister Dr CN Ashwatha Narayan, Christian community leaders donated 1 crore rupees for the construction of the temple.
“The BJP believes in pro-popular actions and ‘sab ka saath, sab ka vikas‘as delivered by Prime Minister Sri Narendra Modi. It is an inclusive party comprising all minorities and this philosophy of governance is followed both in the Center and in the State, ”said Ashwatha Narayan.
Speaking on behalf of representatives, Ronald Colaco said the community has always responded to the cause of the nation and social harmony, while praising the act of the Government of Karnataka to establish the Christian Development Corporation in the ‘State with a grant of Rs 200 crore.
The Karnataka chapter of Sri Ram Mandir Nidhi Samarpan Abhiyan Samiti was formed earlier this year and the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) is said to have received more than 5 lakh volunteers, who will go door to door to raise funds for the construction of the temple. in Ayodhya. .
This fundraising campaign aimed to reach 27,500 villages in Karnataka involving 90 Lakh devotees who could give their part for the Ram temple. The samiti facilitates donations by providing tokens of Rs 10, Rs 100, Rs 1,000. Donations over Rs 2,000 will receive receipts and will be excluded under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act , as indicated.
